Facebook Messenger’s redesign is finally started rolling out to all devices. The update started its rollout in October last year. Messager is getting even simpler with the removal of the Discover tab with the new update.
Chatbots, Discover tab is no longer part of Facebook’s new update as Facebook is more focused on speed and simplicity instead of broad utilities. The changes were firstly announced in August, last year. As per TechCrunch reports updated switchover will start happening to start next week.
Head of Messanger app, Stan Chudnovsky said the app has been streamlined as a functional messaging app.
In updated design, FB is bringing focus on a “People” Section where users can check the new cards dedicated to friends who have updated Facebook stories recently. Users can also look for a contact list organized to promote the most interacted contacts who are actively connected.
Though, Facebook has launched Messanger kids in 2017 company also pulling some new tweaks about it. In addition to giving more control to parents to keep eyes on their kids. Messager is updated earlier with a new privacy feature, Parent Dashboard. Despite anyone kids have blocked in the app, parents can check Messaging, Video call history.
